Who was at Tone Fest 2006, and what did you see and like about the show?

My pleasure to finally meet you Jon and so many other great builders who are my friends I've known for years!

Big thanks to Teddy, Jason, Scotty and the rest of the tonefest crew for their hard work. You guys were kind and accomodating. Also, it was great to meet so many of the guys that I only know by name and reputation.

The amp demos were great, especially Bjorn's Mad Professor and Phil playing through the GDS. I suspect that Phil would sound great through just about anything, but the GDS sounded especially sweet. The Mad Professor, though not my cup of tea, had an impressive and unique character.

Of all of the amps that I heard, my favorites were Heritage and 65amps. I didn't demo many pedals, but did try a batch of BJFE's, zendrive, and an early Tim. I wish I had taken notes on the BJFE's as they are now jumbled in my brain.

it was really great meeting everyone that I got to, everyone was helpful and it was amazing the passion and knowledge that was obviously present. unfortunately I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked but still I enjoyed every minute. thanks Dean for all your help (I love the strings), and I hope to be able to slowly assemble a collection of effects from what I learned there. thank you all!
