Bb blues swing groove with Rt 3 7 forms (http://www.rittor-music.co.jp/tomofujita/seminar/sound/04.mp3)
music and tab for Rt 3rd 7th form (http://www.rittor-music.co.jp/tomofujita/seminar/04.html)
This is my favorite! Rt 3rd 7th. Why?
Most people play big 6 notes or 5 notes chords, that's cool.
But when you play jazz or jazzy funk, jazzy blues...
You don't want to fight with piano guy or organ guy.
So this is great preparation for that. You only need to
play Root on 6th or 5th strings,
3rd & 7th on 3rd & 4th strings.
This way you get simple good sound of chord. No tentions.
Just
a) Maj7
b) Dom7
c) min7
Just 3 types. (just for now. I will follow up more details later)
For blues (This case) just Dom7.
Watch out your 3rd & 7th...
When you play i chord. Just stay center.
When you go from i chord to iv chord... just go 1/2 step
step back...
From i to v chord.... just go 1/2 step up.
3 choices, Stay... down.... stay.....up.....
Again, you can use your metronome on 2 & 4...
a) 52
b) 42
c) 58
Try those tempos.
There are many possible way to apply this to another.
It's importnat to have good relationship within music.
