Hi, I'm new to the forum and have a question about Micheal Kelly guitars.
I recently sold my trusty Strat and have been looking for a little axe to do home recording with.
I am currently using a Tacoma AJF22CE with a EMG humbucker, and a 1995 Taylor 814CE which are fine guitars which I usually play acoustically or thru a Genz-Benz, but you know how this GAS thing works! :D
So I need a recording type solid or semi hollow body type axe. I have been checking out the Micheal Kelly Hybrid;

Any suggestions?

Though I have never played one, I have heard that they are pretty good inexpensive guitars.

I have never heard of Michael Kelly. Who does he make guitars for?

Michael Kelly is a manufacturer of inexpensive import guitars.

they are made in Korea, from what I understand the pick up, wiring and set up are completed here in the US.

A friend of mine has a very pretty MK he uses in his band. Don't know the model, but it has something like a spalted maple look to it with 2 HBs. The sound through a Fender Hot Rod DeVille is pure mud. Nice guitar though. I'm sure he could improve on the pickups.

I thought they were Chinese made?

Well if they are made in China that puts the kabosh on the prospect of me ever owning one. I'll have to look into that.
