Anybody have experience with Danelectro DC 12 string or Daisy Rock Retor-H 12 string and can comment on them?
They come fairly cheap used that it might be worth taking a complete flyer on one to see if I would like it.

I would go with the Danelectro. I think there is better quality to them. The Dasiy Rock guitars are coming out of Korea and I don't see that there is any quality to them. The pickups on them are very thin sounding.

Are the Danelectro's made in the U.S. then?
I don't know, most lower priced guitars seem to come out of either Korea, China, or Indonesia. There are an awful lot of low-priced high quality guitars coming from Korea right now. They are where Japan was in the 80's, I think.
The U.S. built ones are only the higher priced (like over $1K or so).
By the way, I'm talking about the reissued Danelectro's not the original ones since the original ones are beaucoup bucks.
Thanks for the feedback on the Retro-H 12 string sounding thin, though. That's what a guitar magazine wrote up - that unless they were fully cranked that the pickups sounded thin. However, they liked it for the bang-for-bucks factor.
It's kinda what I'm looking for because I know I won't play it enough to justify spending any major money on a 12-string.
