Hi folks!

Hey, I just got some good leeway on my newest guitar project. I need some advice on my neck fit. First off, this picture is pretty self explanatory as to what is going on... look at the gap....

One problem I have is the screw holes for the bolts. The neck I bought (which is maple) had the screw holes off center. I know my best bet for repairing this flaw is to drill the holes larger and glue wooden dowels into the holes.

I want to get the neck to fit into the joint and fit properly. What is my best bet to correct this?

Thank you for all your help.

Looks like you've got a perfect fit on the bass side pocket so I wouldn' t worry about the gap at the neck's end.

The gap is OK, your pickguard should cover it. The thing you have to check is the scale length. Is the bridge mounted? You'll want the saddles in the middle of their travel, then measure from the saddles to the front of the nut. If it isn't 25-1/2", you'll have to plug and redrill the screw holes on the neck so it measures 25-1/2".
