I can say now I am to old for this festival crap :)
300,000 people pushing, shoving, acting like morons. HOt, sticky, sweaty, smelly, dirty, muddy, and way to crowded!
So there you have it the review of the year!
In all honesty, the music was just ok as the bands were probably in just as big of a hurry to exit stage left and get the hell out of our town.
Why would anyone want to hang out with 300,000 people in less then 1 sq. mile?
I had a 3 day pass and passed on the 1st 2 days as I had no intent on dealing with the crap for Ben Harper or Daft Punk
Yesterday, which was the last day I told my self I would not miss Pearl Jam and I wish I had slept late :)
I saw My Morning Jacket for the 5th time in 2 years and they were great. By the time PJ got to stage every single soul had pushed into a tiny little area. The band began and everyone pushed. I had to get the hell out or I thought I was going to die!
I was all the way up front!
I pushed and pushed and pushed some more. Some cops at the back helped me get out.
Thank God I got out of there!
I started walking out and heard most of the 2 hour set.
It was the mainstream PJ set and nothing I hadn't heard 25 times before.
So moral to the story:
Festvals are for children who don't like to take showers and enjoy wearing clothing for 3 days in a row and therefore the music becomes secondary to the scene. Do your self a favor if you are over the age of 25 and get the webcast!
