Some of you might know that I bought a new home and I move in 2 weeks from now, it is a little crazy to say the least.
The home has a state of the art Home Theater, B&W speakers, etc and I want to pick a album to show it off LOL, so I figured I would ask you guys what CD/Vinyl LP you pop in to accomplish this.
Thanks,
Jason

Get some directly engraved 45rpm 12" vinyls, they were the rage in the 1970s & 80s. Some straight to vinyl jazz engravings are superb.
One of my favorite vinyls is Freddy Kings "Fireball". CCS with Alexis Corner "Our Man in London", Alan Parsons Project "Tales of Mystery and Imagination"
CDs: classical music for demoing - Tchaikovski "1812", get the one with real canon shots mixed in, I think Berlin Philharmonic did that one. Also harpsichord and organ music is good too.
Of course "Dark Side of the Moon" remastered.

When's housewarming party? ;)

Jason,

I just had the pleasure of checking out some amazing audio equipment by Conrad and Johnson. The bass player in one of the bands I play with is the general manager of a high-end home audio and home theater store and I had the opportunity to tour his store after hours this weekend.

He set up a $30,000 sound system comprised of two monitors, a power amp, a preamp and a recordplayer, and I have never heard music the way I heard it that night. He said that The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds is one of the best albums of all time to demonstrate audio equipment capabilities.
