I dig the mix of product demos, seminars, and jams. You guys have a great concept. I think a coaches whistle or a giant power off switch when you want to make announcements is in order. I've taken notes in my preparation for the next tonefest.
Would it be beneficial to ask area (wherever the next tonefest is going to occur) gear retailers or musical venues to promote the event?

Hi Nate:
We are wworking on the National approach and how to do it best. TF Florida is all set and is the 18th and 19th, this is Nick's event and will be the same as it always is. I am not sure how many Exhibitors will be there, as the venue is small and Nick usually attracts the vintage crew.
We are working on the noise level :) and trying to figure out if sponsorship or grassroots is the way to go.
One thing you will see is in the future is entertainment instead of the jams ;)
All the best,
Jason

The only thing I would suggest is to try and make the scheduling more accurate. I only had 3-4 hours on Sunday and came early because the amp demos were scheduled to start at 10:00. I had to leave around 1:00 and demos still hadn't started. Had I known demos would be later I would have done my other thing early and came to the fest in the afternoon. That being said I would like to thank everyone involved for a great day anyway.
Does anyone out there know the prices of the Tubewonder and the small Del Ray model that was over by Uncle Alberts. It was a great sounding little amp but I cant find any specs or prices on it. Thanks

Yeah the schedule kinda got off track :) sorry about that. I did my best to keep things moving, but we wanted the largest audience possible for the demos which is why they were bumped.
Make'N has 2 Tubewonders on order, not sure what the pricing is or how long they will remain unspoken for. You can always ask Aleksander aka Vacumn Vodoo and I am sure he can help you out.
One of the things that will make this board stand out from the other is the way members will be able to interact with builders.
All of the ToneFest Exhibitors websites are listed on the ToneFest site. I will make a sticky with them so everyone can find the ones that aren't easy to find.
Uncle Alberts DelRay 66 can be found here:

Funny you mention Atlanta.
We have had so many requests from your area and since we have some friends in Macon it looks like it could be a natural.
All I can say is stay tuned......

The biggest issue with this (and all shows) is volume (of the amps, that is). Is there a simple way get get the booths to tone it down when not demoing an amp? Or a volume limit in the booths, and only cranking it up in the demo rooms? In my opinion, you don't need those amps that loud to show off what they can do. Most of the demos can be done at lower volume. My thoughts anyway.
Also, if every vendor was able to do a demo on stage that would be really cool. And if they were taped, they could be played back throughout the show? Maybe a loop of those demos could be playing in a demo room?
Anyway, that's a few quick thoughts...

Hi Jon:
Great ideas!
Volume is the biggest issue, it was at Dallas this year as well. There are products made that can help with the noise and at the same time show off the ability of the said product. I am trying to get these companies to see the light :)
I think it would be feasible to get everyone on stage.
We have a bunch of footage that was shot from ToneFest, it is being edited and we will be setting it up on the server. I hope to have it done in the next 30 days.
One thing we are going to add to next years Chicago show is a clip man. I want to have a guy go around and video tape clips of everything and provide them to the exhibitors and then have it available on the site for those who couldn't make it (not interviews or anything like that, just the gear). There will be a charge for it, but I think it will work out well.
Keep em coming :)
