We want to get your feedback for a club that will allow members to check out pedals for as long as they like without having to purchase them. This is different from any demo box.
As a Pedal Club member you will have access to an inventory of rare, vintage and new pedals. You'll get to check them out and pay a fee and once returned you'll be free to check out another. There will be an initial sign up fee ( very low) and a fee that will vary depending on the pedal type.
Inventory will be fairly large and we believe this will really be something all players could use.
So let us know what you think!
If it works for pedals we will include amps.

All the best,
Jason

This sounds interesting.

Great guys!
Thank you for the feedback and we will get some more info to you guys.
Now if we could only get the other 30+ people who viewed this thread to post as well

Hmmm....I'm not really a pedal user per se, but I would be interested in checking out a few vintage pedals, especially old treble boosters or fuzz boxes. I'd be game for a couple of newer devices as well; count me in.

It would depend on the pedal. The only things I am interested in would be delay or potentially swirly type of things.

I'm likely responsible for at least 15 of those that have viewed this thread, a couple said that once they registered it wouldn't allow them to post in the forum...something about a queue.

I guess I'd be willing to check out a pedal or two.

I would like to be included. I am also new here, but any regular on the Tone Factor forum would vouch for me (I hope!) :)

another one of guru's recruits here. :)

New here, but I've been around a few other forums.

I may be somewhat naive, but I suppose we (guess that would/could be me) could swap some of our pedals to each other as well.

I have as most do here my play out pedalboard, but have two other pedalboards that I rotate things on and off till I find what I can use.
They aren't always the most in demand pedals by any means, but then one mans trash as they say . . .

I guess the reason I bring this up was Fixxer's post where he posted he would want to look at delay and swirly things - I have both an Ibenez Rotary Chorus (RC99) and an Ibenez Analog delay (D99) would I mind if someone borrowed them for a workout? Not really . .

I can see where this could be interesting - I read all the time about someones love for a particular fuzz - I have never used one and can't imagine I ever would, but if I played with one I might be more than tempted to spend money and replace that Octave pedal that is on my board for one six note phrase (if we even play that song).

Just some thoughts . . . .

I might be interested, depending on the cost. I am not a big pedal guy, but would like the opportunity to try before I buy. This sounds like a great way to spend a little time getting to know the pedals. If I was a pedal manufacturer, I would think that this would be a great way to introduce my product to people.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, but it might be better to keep individual loans outside of the "club" to avoid conflicts and drama in case someone's personal pedal was damaged or (god forbid) lost somehow in the rotation. That's the sort of thing that's hard enough to address when it's a loan between two individuals. At the very least, there should probably be a protocol set up in advance regarding how to deal with any mishaps.

Not trying to be cynical, but it's good to identify potential pitfalls if you can. :)

Yep, you're correct - after I posted I started thinking about it and figured it not to be such a hot idea.
I can't get some of my pedals back from band members. I tend to be a trusting soul;)

I think this is a great idea! It could be a real boon for recording. Studios would LOVE a service like this.

Is there anything going on with this? I still think it sounds like a great idea!

Hey, I'm quoting myself!

As far as ideas to get this forum rolling, I think this might be one of the good ones. If members here were trying out and discussing new pedals that they might not be willing to lay down money for without trying, I think we might get a lot more traffic and discussion. I know that I just got a Tone Factor pedal tour box and it definitely has me posting (The Mystick Octavius, for those of you who are interested).

No pressure, but I don't think it would hurt.

BTW: I would be willing to send my new-ish Moen Fuzz Moo out for a tour. It's a cheap and surprisingly good green muff clone. I would be willing to send out my Little Big Muff, too. (I know it's not rare or anything, but... you know... never loan what you can't afford to lose, etc.)
