Coming up here in a few days. Check out the website. It's an easy, cool, free and legal way of getting some exposure to some bands you would otherwise never see or hear.

I'll be honest, it can be a trial sorting through some of the stuff to find something that you like, but I've found several bands the past few years that I have really enjoyed and have continued listening to. Most of the lo-fi indie stuff doesn't appeal to me, but there's plenty of other stuff in there to keep my ears busy for a few hours.

Austin is a very very nice city IMO - I'd really like to be there for the SXSW, I've heard a lot exciting of things about it.

I had an offer to play there last year with a friend. She wanted to fly me in, pay for my room and pay me for a 20 minute set. I passed. Just way too much trouble for 20 minutes plus I had a gig already. It's really grown to huge proportions when compared to what it used to be.

Being in Tulsa, this is the time of year we get all kinds of great bands that stop through on their way to SXSW. In fact, next week I'm catching Radio Moscow.
