:confused:I would like to string a 6 string acoustic with the 1st and 2nd strings as the low A and E, and 3rd-6th as E-B-G-D (ie, the usual top 4).
I assume I'll need to purchase a custom nut and bridge, or rework the current ones-- any referrals or advice?

So you're wanting to restring a righty for lefty? Is that correct? Either way I think that you'll need a blank nut and a blank bridge saddle to accomplish what you're wanting to do. Any competent tech should be able to hook you up.

No PeeWee, I think he wants to line up his strings (high to low) : A - E (low) and then the rest in succession as is just moved two locations - I just would like to know what for? You'll definitely need a new nut and you'll need a new bridge insert for correct compensation - a good luthier should be able to do that.

Ahhhhhhh.....now I see, though I'm still confused about why just as you are, Tom. Almost sounds like a variation on high stringing.
