This is the "trunk" of my PedalPad, I store extra pedals and my power supplies down there.
Burkey Flatliner: Sweet power supply, check it out at tonefactor.
vintage MXR Power Convertor: These are pretty rare, it powers all my vintage MXR via power plates.
Banzai Cold Fusion:
Vox V847 "Union Jack": Keeley mods
ToneFactor Eeyore:
Boss Chorus:
Wooden Box of Secrets: Maybe it has slides and pics in it, and maybe it has something else.

The signal path:
BYOC Tri-Boost: Keith built this one for me, it's on 90% of the time.
Custom Loooper: Loop 1
vintage MXR DynaComp: Just a really good, all-around compressor.
vintage MXR Phase 90: I recovered it in leather, may toss a TF Nebula on and put this in the "trunk".
vintage MXR Envelope Filter: Best envelope I have played, long search to end on this one.
Keeley TR-2: Great tremolo, Keeley did my wah right too.
Custom Loooper: Loop 2
MAD Effects DD30: It really does turn my 6L6 Fender into an EL84 Vox!
MJM London Fuzz (Custom): Loved my standard LF so much, I had Michael build me a mini with bias.
PedalworX Texas Two Step: George is the man, this is THE overdrive for me. Amazing pedal.
Dr. Scientist Radical Red Reverberator: Ryan and crew gave me a surprise finish on this one, love the RRR.
D*A*M 1966 (limited): This one is built to original specs.
Custom Looper:
Korg DT-10: Gots to be in tune!

Well, I've never heard the blue one, so I really can't compare them. But the plain ole red one sure is nice. It's a nice Echo for sure and doesn't mess with my tone, whether I'm using a Plexi or AC30. So I'm pretty happy. The drive function is fairly evident. When you crank it you really do get OD in your delay. I almost never dial in the drive because it gets a bit muddy. I just keep my delays clean and drive the guitar.
I've heard guys poo-poo the Slam function, as being a useless novelty, but I think it's quite a cool little effect. As long as you have the foot free to hit the button at the particular moment when you'd like to send the delay into a weird dive, it can be a very hip accent to your high spot in a solo or big chord turn-around.
I'll tell you this, you're never w/o an equalizer if the gig turns ugly. This thing is big enough and heavy enough to take out any 2 guys with one decent toss.

Nick, Jakeddy and Jono - great boards!!!
Perfect layout of the pedals on the board, Jono. You have all the space covered.
I like the shot of the pb-case in the garage - somehow has something to it. I hope this is not your last photo of it cause after taking it you forgot the case there and somebody grabbed it... lol

Jono,
What's the volume pedal in the center there? Nice board.. crammed 'em in there.
Jono L
03-08-2007, 09:41 PM
Rabbit - glad to say, nobody grabbed it! That would have made me very sad... that's the Carpark at work, I had my rig in my car for last nights gig, had just bought a new camera for my department, and thought - "I know what I can photograph!"
Cody - Its a Goodrich LDR2 volume pedal. Its a really great volume - powered, tunable eq, full frequency output/tuned output, and most importantly... no volume pot/moving parts - and no tone suck!
Yeah - the board is rather packed... it will be getting an upgrade when my new G&H ends arrive. I've got around 40 metres of Sommer Spirit cable at home, just sitting there! So I'm going to wire my massive (36" x 19.5") Pumaboard, and REALLY take up some real-estate. :)

Thanks for the info Jono. I've been considering adding a volume pedal to my setup and I'm leaning towards one of the better pedals like the Goodrich stuff. Any idea how it compares, as far as feel and comfort, to the typical Ernie Ball stuff? Looks like a lower profile. I'm not sure if there are any dealers around here in Austin.. I need to try one out.
We've got a lot of the same pedals. I use the COT 50 instead of an Eternity and also use a TIM.. those and the Klon can really give me a lot of options.
Have you compared other pedals to the Morning Dew or Tap-a Whirl? Those are two I'm curious about.
Jono L

Hey Cody,
My pleasure to answer any questions you have! I wouldn't profess to be the smartest guy in the world about this stuff - but I know what works for me.
The truth is, I could probably have still used my Ernie Ball volume pedal quite happily. Yes, it rolls off tone as you roll off the volume. Yes, there is a difference when it is in the chain, and yes, its a weird signal design (the way it flows... look it up, there's a diagram somewhere - this is why it sucks tone). At the end of the day, for me, its just a volume pedal. As far as the feel between them - they feel rather similar! Both are just a matter of getting comfortable with them. The only issue I had with the Goodrich was that it felt too "floppy" (wouldn't stay in the position I left it) until I found the adjustment for it - and stiffened it up. It was fine after that!
A COT50 eh? I've been wanting to try one of those... E really fulfils my high gain needs, its such a great little rocker. I have a Tim and Timmy on the way... no idea when they'll get to me (its been 5 months now).
As far as trying other trems/eq's... I've got some friends who use the Empress trem, to me and them, both Trem's sound fine. I needed something with Tap Tempo, and Jon Cusack is a marvelous builder, and a great guy. Very happy with that decision - that Trem isn't going anywhere. Previous to that, it was a Dunlop Trem...
EQ's - Didn't try any. I originally bought it as a buffer, the EQ as a "bonus"... needless to say, it quickly become the main feature. Its a great EQ! I hear the Barber BarbEQ is comparitive though - and definitely easier to come across, these days... :)
Cool bro, hope that helps...
Jono

Cool Jono.. thanks for the details. I hear you on the volume pedal thing. I always have at least one or two old Boss or Ibanez pedals on my board, which is to say i like the old stuff with buffers here and there. Just curious if you felt like the Goodrich was that much better- lots of great players with great tone doing just fine with the Ernie Balls. I'd like to find them locally and try them with my pedals to see if there's that much difference.
COT 50 is still one of my favotrites. It doesn't work with everything- seems to favor Marshall type circuits or certain EL84 amps straight in. It does, however, stack really well with the TIM. I can make it work with just about anything in that regard. It stacks really well. I've heard the E is killer, but I would want to try one first. I'm sure I'd like it..that's what I'm afraid of.
I'm still leaning towards finding a used Fultone Trem, although there are some cool options for Trems these days. THe Cusack looks tempting.

Gibson Les Paul (2001 R8) / Fender Stratocaster (2005 USA)>

DRY> to THD Univalve/ THD 2x12/Songworks Rotary Wave (Leslie cabinet).
WET> to Fender Champ(70's silver face).
Line out on the Univalve head used to feed Peterson VSII tuner.
A lot of thought went into this chain as I do not have an effects loop on any of my amps. The Pedal Pad pedal board does have a nice effects loop module (as well as a built in power supply) which is very quiet and allows for some looping of effects as needed. All in all, this is a very quiet and good sounding effect chain. All I need is to do is tidy up a bit - the Maxon OD808 still needs to be added back to the board. I also need some heavy duty Velcro to keep it stable.
Future improvements include swapping the Cry Baby for a true bypass Vox or Budda wah, replacing the EH reverb with the real deal - a Fender '63 reverb unit, adding a ZVex Fuzz Factory, adding a Zvex LoFi Looper and maybe losing the phaser (the MicroVibe and Rotary Wave have ruined me for phasers!).
