I was wondering how the EGDM and DRD go into dirty amps for providing and extra push? I've only tried them with clean amps like BF fender types.

The DRD likes to be put into a clean amplifier as a rule of thumb and because of this it may be the best stand alone distortion out there. The EGDM is happy in either clean, semi-dirty or dirty amplier settings and works extremely well as a clean boost also. The EGDM has a lot of British class A type amplifiers (think Vox here) personalities in it BUT it is capable of much, much MORE! Trust me on this one....

I agree with Dean... well, you'd have to be crazy to disagree with him on anything BJF related after all! The EGDM blends seamlessly with my AC30, whether it's set clean, at the point of break up, or indeed completely cranked. The 'Voice' control helps, as does the range of the 'Dist' control, with careful tweaking of the EGD's controls, it gets along very well in any situation, from totally clean, home volumes to fully cranked stage levels.
