(I moved my filter cap question to the tech area)

One of this summer's projects: a 1982 Marshall 4010 (small chassis version of 2204). I removed it from it's 112 combo box and reinstalled it in a small, Lead 100 Mosfet box. The retrofit worked out great (looks decent on the angled front 212)...except that the faceplate is upside down (Marshall JCM 800 combos hung from the top...heads bolt to bottom). This thing already sounds really good...it's got National EL34s and Silver Specials in it...After spending a lot of money trying to get the JCM800 sound from pedals and such, I finally wised up and just bought one (I'd resisted because I refuse to carry 412 cabs, so the "real" heads are too big and I've never liked Marshall's 50 watt combos, especially 112s)...this is the vertical input version, before they started with diode clipping and things that drastically changed the tone...This one sounds like a beefed up version of the JMP I used to have...it's a GREAT club rig!!!

Anyway, FWIW, here it is...before and after:
