I ordered 2 packs to see if I liked them. Order placed on the 10th. I still don't have them? Is this normal? Today is the 29th.

There's been a lot of complaints about late delivery of placed orders lately on several forums. I don't know what's happening but it has been that way since Snake Oils got the review in GP magazine so maybe he's got more orders than he can fill.

Thanks, I hope they show up today. Just curious about them. Been using ernie balls & Dr Ducks lately.

Please - let us know when you do recieve them and what your thoughts are on them.
Been curious myself - just haven't pulled the trigger.
I tend to use so many different sets, I'm not quite sure what I even like anymore.
They all have there good sides (except Elixer - never bonded with those).

I will, Was hoping to see them today but again no luck. Hope they are worth the wait. I have a new Collings 290. I want to try them on it first. also going to try the acoustic sets as well. I have also used a lot of different strings lately in search of the ones that really make me smile.

I've been a long time SOB customer and my wait time for my last order was 1 month. They're a very small operation and are trying to cope with the massive increase in orders as best they can - as Dean once said to me, "We'll never be D'Addario". Just hang tight; they're very worth the wait. I was a devout GHS Nickel Rockers user for 17 years until I tried the Snake Oil Original Nickels and I'll never go back to GHS.
I've also used the Acoustic strings on my HD-28VR. You'll notice a huge difference in tonality when compared with, say, Martin Phosphor Bronze. There's a clarity and a brightness that you hear in the Snake Oils that's missing from the others. It all starts with purity of materials.
BTW - this will be my last post. Best of luck to all!

PeeWee's right. I've been using Pyramid Pure Nickels before for a while which are great and didn't expect any other brand to be such an improvement, especially with all the hype on other forums, but there's a tone to Snake Oils I haven't heard in any other brand of strings yet and I have gone through several in my 35 years of playing.

Thanks, I guess I'm just looking forward to trying a new string. It's all about the tone. I still have cases of Ernie balls and Dr. Ducks for my electric guitars. The Dr. Ducks are quite nice by the way. It's the acoustic Snake Oil strings I am most hyped about.
