I just scored one of these new in the box at the GC Labor Day sale (they started early) for $75. That's out the door including tax! Not the head, but the full combo. Do you guys know how fantastic these things sound? I'm seriously considering going back for another so I can have stereo.

That's a great deal on the combo! Is it one of the older ones? In other words, does it hum? AFAIK GC still has some of those kicking around in inventory.

I've got a head which I've done some simple mods to. I love it!

Nope the newer, with the double line at the top. Not the older with the triple line through the middle. Gotta know what you're buying.

Sweet deal! :)

The new ones are dead quiet all the way up.

I went back today and got the last one they had. $75 and they gave me a couple of packs of strings for free!

That's just about a 2 for 1 deal on those.

I have the head version and will be grabing a second soon.
These little guys rip for sure.
I had run into a old friend(great shredder) at GC the other day.
I just picked up a strat to fiddle with, you know to play "Smoke on the Water" on 11 for everyone. I saw a VJr on a cab ready to be abused by both of us. I was aware of what could be given out by one of these.
My friend though was shocked, having been a massive effects rack type of guy in the 80s this little amp just impressed him into buying one.
I like the mods that some are putting into these, I'd like to see some switchable versions.
