too funny,
actually I have a Tele and I'm getting fat so it looks like I'm on my way to a new carreer as a country lead guitarist....

do you think I can get by with my old Ampeg, or do I really have to buy a fender amp?

Not sure, Larry Bill says that G...... guitars are for sissies - I don't know what he 'd say 'bout 'em Ampeg amps. With an F...... amp you'd be on the sure side o' things. :D
