Why is this site still here?

Ok - so does anyone know if there will be an amp show in the Detroit area this year? Seems it's been about a year since the last one - put my name on a piece of paper, but that and 5.00 get you coffee at Starbucks.

Tom - how are things going on your side of the pond?

I must admit we're pretty busy and actually years of playing cheap are starting to pay off. We've managed to book a couple of corporate gigs that usually go to the higher paid bands and in one case national acts - talk about downsizing - Toby Keith or us - I'm guessing they could get us to play a solid week and still have monies left over for an open bar.

I have a day job (thank you), but am now playing fairly steady in two bands for more than just economic reasons - I like the challenge and the fellas.
As long as scheduling isn't a problem it's a hoot! Still not makin' enough to buy the new amp I want, but hey.

Hi Melvin - will give you a more detailed reply soon. Glad to see someone chime in here from time to time. :) Wish we had at least a group of "old timers" coming together here just for the fun of talking to each other and "shootin' the breeze". :cool:
