Don't you just hate that.
We had that happen to us about a year ago and I lost so much I had no idea how to get a lot of my 'stuff' back. In fact we had everything we could downloaded from our old system and a year later we're still digging through it. Erg!
But sites that I had visited and wanted saved for some bizzaro reason, like cabs for old amps (Magnatone) that I want to have redone are long gone.
Also - just in case PeeWee ever looks in - today (Friday May 29) is Jimmy Thackery's birthday . . . I only mention that since I have a pic I saved from this site that PeeWee had of the both of them in the kitchen of some venue.
I was disturbed however to learn I'm older than he is . . . now if I was only half as good at bending strings -
How's mom?

Luckily our pc had a hardware problem (mainboard fried) and the hard drive stayed intact so all our files and programmes are still there.
About mom: we moved her to her new appartment two weeks ago and she enjoys her new home. With all the packing up, moving, cleaning up and the like that's involved with moving, the last couple weeks were very busy.
Last weekend saw the 31st issue of a local three day festival in our hometown called "Jazztime" which means there's only a little jazz and loads of other stuff :D. The outdoor shows are free and always draw a considerable crowd (estimated at around 25000 on all three days combined).
I met blues man Lightnin' Wells from North Carolina on sunday who was there on his german tour which was set up by a friend of mine. Since he was scheduled to play another gig here two days later and my friend wanted me to join him for a couple of tunes then my wife and me invited them after his early noon gig to our home for coffee etc. and relaxing so we'd get a chance to get to know each other a bit better. What happened was we played for hours the entire afternoon till dinner and then another hour, pulling out all of the old tunes that we both knew and I was amazed that there were so many that we both had our playing repertoire. What an enjoyable sunday afternoon - I haven't had so much fun playing just for kicks in a long time. The show on tuesday was good also but we both agreed that sunday afternoon was much better.
Lighnin' is a walking encyclopedia of depression era music, not only blues but also hillbilly, pop of the day etc.
