Can anyone compare these two pedals. I know the PPF has an overdrive quality to it but can it still do a good fuzz sound? Also is the CAF to over the top for someone like myself who has never owned a fuzz pedal before? I really love the fuzz tones on Doyle Brahmall's Welcome album. Will the CAF be too much for a Les Paul? Any info would be great. Thanks guys.

Good questions!
The CAF and PPF are related, think of them as brothers. The PPF is a mellow, smooth and very usable fuzz. It works well with many OD's and it takes Humbuckers and Singlecoils equally well. It can cover all the ground that a Fuzz Face can. If you are looking for Doyle tone, this will get you there.
The CAF is the evil older brother. It goes from mellow to mean, has a really cool octave tone and it also works with any pickup you can toss at it. They both are usable fuzz at any vol.
FWIW, BJ is a huge LP player ;)

Here's some clips of the PPF and CAF
LP into 64 Princeton Reverb played over RC-50 Loop (in PA)
I go from CCW to CC on the tone knobs (note jerks and sloppy playing) and all pickups
