There was an article about 9 months ago in a UK guitar magazine with Dave Grohl, he said he had accepted the gig to play drums on the upcoming tour as well. That rumor was put to bed in Ft. Collins 3 months ago! So Jason is in, Dave is out and Plant, Page and Jones will make a mint!!!

I for one will be there!

If it is in the Sun it must be true ;)

I'd go. I haven't seen them since 1969. When I saw Page and Plant a few years ago, I realized that most of the songs they did weren't written yet when I last saw them. It was kind of weird. Robert is going to have some problems hitting the high notes...

Ft.Collins? I gotta ask who you be :)

I saw Plant in October at HOB and he did fine, not perfect but good enough for me :)

No problem; that's why God invented lower octaves. ;) But seriously, he's such a great performer, it's easy to accept his alternate vocal melodies. It's really a treat to see Page and Plant, and seeing them together with JPJ and Jason will just be amazing for me. I hope I get to go.

I hope it is true and not a bad rumor

It was inthe Sun, which is not the most reliable source of information over here in the UK, we call it the gutter press; but I do hope it is true.

Page had to bow out of the tour with the Black Crowes a little while back due to back problems so I wonder if he is up to a tour.

His back problem was less a medical issue, as an annoyance issue, or so I've heard.

Plant doesn't, and shouldn't, even try to hit the high notes any more. Page can get a chambered and lightened Les Paul.

I don't know... Did anybody see that Cream reunion thing last year? Simply heinous, IMO. They didn't even try to recapture the sound. I'm afraid of Zep doing the same thing.

Some things should be left in the past, period. Zeppelin is sacred to me, and I don't want anything to cheapen it. The Jimmy Page/Black Crowes thing was a good tribute, but now it's done. Sure, a tour will make a lot of money, but they would make even more if they would start licensing their real stuff for music downloads.
