My new fiddle...

Well, I broke down and bought an SG... I knew I wanted one... I found the right one... you know how it goes.

It is an 06 VOS LP/SG Custom... beautiful. The tones are perfect SG tones... it has that bright edge of a good SG, tons of power and snarl with od/gain. The neck pup is just perfect. strong and clear.

The finish is a nice creamy white, all the custom appointments. The VOS work is great... tarnished gold parts... and some yellowing/stains on the finish. The neck is quite a bit larger with more depth than other SGs with the "60s slim taper" carve.

The vibrola tail piece adds an airiness to the tone that is very cool... gives a lot of character to your playing... and the tuning stability is very good. Fit and finish are tremendous... neck plays very well.

Hello No Code 5. How are you and your new baby getting along? Being new I suppose Burstbuckers (2) would be the pickups in her.

Our other guitar player picked up one of the production '61 SGs with '57 Classics and TOM and it is a wicked great guitar. I can't imagine an SG sounding better, but the third pickup could be interesting. Does the Vibrola hurt tuning? I know they never help, but a friend had a Custom Art and Historic '61 that was a royal pain to keep close to tuned.

I really am enjoying the guitar. The vibrola doesn't cause too much trouble... no dive bombs, but you can use it without throwing the whole guitar out of tune.

The third pup adds an interesting pup selection... the middle position is the bridge and middle... gives some honk to the tone.
