Demo Box Rules

First off, thank you for supporting our new community and for your patience while we got this box together. We hope you are finding The Guitar Hub a nice place to hang out. We also hope that you will come to us if you ever have a suggestion or a way to improve the forums. In the last month we have made numerous changes. We hope you like them!

Rules for the Demo Box are simple. They are as follows:

1. By asking for this box you are agreeing to make reviews of each pedal. The reviews should be posted on TheGuitarHub.com as well as any other forum you visit. This will help get the word out on both the pedals and the Hub.

2. The reviews should be comprehensive and should include comparisons to other pedals you own or have tried as well as a detailed description of tone and operation.

3. In the Hub only please post when you have received and when you are shipping out the box to the next person. This helps people keep an eye out for it.

4. The list of names should not be used for commercial purposes, please do not share this information with anyone.

5. You are responsible for the well being of the Demo Box and all the pedals. This means you are responsible for the full value should it be lost or damaged while in your possession as well as in transit to the person you ship it to next. Since we have not required each of you to put down a deposit, we ask you take extra special care to pack it up well and ship it.

6. DO NOT take apart the pedal board, DO NOT remove pedals, and DO NOT remove the backs off the pedals. The board is powered and we expect the box to come back to us in the same condition it went out. If you have any problems please check the connections (plugs for power and cables) carefully.

If you fail to meet any of these rules you will be taken off future lists! If you destroy any pedal you will be held responsible.

Folks we are all on the honor system please do not ruin this for everyone.

Thank you and enjoy the fun,

The Guitar Hub

Yes the board shipped!
Grog you get it first, so keep an eye out.

Also, we had to replace one of the pedals before it shipped!
A Red Witch Fuzz pedal worked when it was wired, but decided to stop when it was getting boxed, so it was taken off and a Pro Analog Power Driver was put in its place. We are very excited to include ProAnalog in the Demo Box and we hope you guys enjoy the pedals.

Thanks guys!

Just got the shipping notification today.
Very excited about participating!

One question:

Have you thought about a reasonable time for each person to demo the box?
I want to have enough time to evaulate the setup but dont want to "hog" it as it were.

Thanks!

Hi Grog:
Since you are the 1st person to recieve it, please let me know how long it takes you to get through the pedals. I thought a weeks might be good, but there are a lot of pedals.
Maybe we can keep it to 10 days per person?

Have fun!

Ten days sounds reasonable.
Now I have to convince my boss to give me a weeks vacation and catch up on my "honey do" list so that my wife won't mind my lack of attention to house work.
Greatly looking forward to this.
Once again, THANKS JofZ and all responsible for this.
All the best to you!
E

M'M -

How much did it cost you to ship it?
What method did you use?
How much did you insure it for?

It would be really helpful to know this stuff for the rest of us since we're liable for the board while it's in our possession...

Psyched to try out the Power Driver too!

Great questions!

I would imagine it was the same as a hefty anvil case for a guitar, so $75 will cover it.

Teddy always ships FedEx and IMO they are the only capable company left in the USA to handle important docs and shippments. None of them are perfect, but FedEx screws up less often. I think 2K covers the cost of the board and pedals.

We will be putting together the 2nd box shortly. It is going to be the Ultimate TubeScreamer/OD box featuring ProAnalog, Landgraff, possibly a CJOD and a vintage pedal or 2. This new box will require a deposit to be left via Credit Card.

We can do a guitar now as well, so lets get a conversation going about which one you guys want to see and play the most.

Erskin,
I'm thinking of driving it down to you.
You up for that?
$75 will cover my gas and a few too many pints for both of us.
I always look forward to any excuse to visit Portland.
We'll see who is going to be playing at the Doug Fir that weekend.
