A little too dark, IMHO.

The blue is hard to read against the black.

Gloomy. But what the heck, I'm off to the slopes in an hour so I'll see enough of the white stuff anyway. No internet, no amps, no soldering iron where I'm going. Wonder just what the withdrawal symptoms will be. Back in a week.
I believe we can change the font colors.
The banners are going back up.
You can go back to the default style on the lower left hand side of the page, just clip the drop down and select ;)
The logo looks much better now doesn't it?

I owe you a call!
Sorry :)
Have a great trip, and call me when you get home.

looks good but it's hard to read
If it's too dark you're too old?

Wow - first I thought I had been redirected to some other site by way of a virus or something! Sure looks classy but I have to agree that it's not easy to read and the blue against the black is hard to see.

Very 21st century, Adminitron. I think we need more chrome; Everything is chrome in the future

I dig it... but agree it is "futuristic"... I think it is more of an adjustment thing.

Hate it - really difficult to read/find things on the page especially the dark blue stuff.

The Blue changes to white as you place your cursor over it.
Most seem to really like it. Give it a day or 2 and if anyone wants to shoot me a PM with concerns please feel free to do so.

FWIW, I think it would be perfect if everything that currently appears in blue could be changed to a brighter color to better contrast against all the black and grey. Just my .02....
Doc :)
I went through all the color combinations and thought these worked best both in terms of eye strain and emotions. Every other forum out there seems to be blue and white, and the LPF forum is the only one with a black background. We wanted to stand out, and I think we will keep these colors for a while. You do have the option of switching back to the old default style. ON the main forum page, go to the bottom left and there is a drop down menu. Click default and it is back the way it was.
The colors actually get better as you work with them. Adjusting your screen a little helps with blue.
If you guys hate it after a month or so we will switch it :D

It is hard on the eyes. I change it back every time I come here.

After having tried to adjust to the new look, I have to say that the blue is way too dark and therefore straining the eyes - why not make it a lighter shade?
Other than that the look is classy!

You have to remember that some (maybe a lot) of us are older and our eyes aren't what they used to be. I, for one, and wearing bifocals. I use a 19" LCD monitor while home (3 - 4 days a week) but on the road I'm stuck with the rather small screen on my laptop. My color adjustments are fine on my current setup. Photos, etc. look fine. I don't want to adjust those settings for a BBS color scheme.
