This part of the forum seems to be more about "boutique" pedals, but have you heard/seen the new Boss pedals that are recreating two of Fender's most classic amps, the '65 Deluxe Reverb and '59 Bassman? Now, don't get me wrong on this - I'd rather have one of these amps on stage than a pedal that mimicks its sound and I'm definitely a "digital?-No, thanks" - type of guy. But: having experienced a situation last year where my amp farted out in the middle of a gig and my Barber DD saved my ass by running my guitars through it into the PA and a monitor line, a pedal like that might come in handy in such a situation and is easier to carry along than a spare amp. Might also work well for direct recording.
What do you think?

These look pretty cool to me as well. I know their amp modelling and effects work well at low volumes. I suppose if you had a high fidelity/power PA behind it you would run in to less of the trouble tht most SS rigs get into at gig volumes.

They still wouldn't feel or respond like a tube amp... but to the local bar/club visitor... they wouldn't notice.

When I saw them at NAMM my first thought was About Freaking Time!
Then I heard them at the Fender booth and other then the name and cool cases they have nothing in common with the amps.

There are a ton of pedals that will do the BF or Tweed thing.
