Due to inactivity of your account and spam we will purge all accounts with 0 posts on Friday, March 2nd.
That means your Screen Name gets deleted and is up for grabs to anyone.
To avoid this you need to do one thing, PARTICIPATE!

These are friendly forums and everyone has something to add even if you are a novice guitar player. Unlike some other forums you will not be flamed or thrown under a bus for your opinion.

So to all you lurkers and we know who you are ;) join the fun and post.

Thank you,
Jason

I second that motion.....this place is probably the most laid back forum on the Web, which is exactly why I'm here. Step up, folks, it ain't nothing but a thing.

I'm a lurker by nature. If that means I can't have an account here there are plenty of other forums on the interwebs!

I'm not a 0 post member but I was sent the email that said I needed to post. Seems like a waste of energy ...

I think *everyone* was sent that email. I got it, and I post here almost every day. I took it as more of a reminder than a threat.

Exactly - I've seen quite a few folks register and not even introduce themselves.

Isn't it normal that only a small percentage of registered memebers are actively participating in forum discussions? Many people are for the most part interested in only gathering information, others feel they don't have much to contribute. There're also people for whom putting thoughts into writing doesn't come easy.
I have a friend who is very knowledgable in all things amps related but is not posting due to being dislectic. Will he be excluded because he hasn't posted anything here?

I don't think that putting demands on members to post will have a positive effect. Do we want quantity or quality? Valueable information and cordial exchange or noise posts?
This place has all ingredients neccessary to becoming a high quality forum.
All things aside, I totally agree that filling out your profile properly and introducing yourself is to be an expected courtesy to the community.

Sorry if I sound agitated, but I'm getting a "If you don't show up at the party meeting you'll be excluded" vibe; must be a haunting from my youth years behind the iron curtain...

I get your point, VV - so maybe folks who don't post often for whatever reason might state that in a reply here to be not excluded?

VV is correct, most boards have thousands of members but only a hand full are normal posters.
I was feeling worried so I came back today and posted.;)

JofZ, You can delete the post I started

Freedom of Speech is imortant and we will not delete threads.
You are free to edit your post :D

With 13,000 hits per day the last thing we need is more traffic. We do need those who want their handles secure to state so.
Maybe next time I wont ask and I will just delete, hmmmm reminds me of another board :p

There are going to be many changes around here in the next few months. Some you will like and some you wont. We try to keep everyone happy, but as you know we can't make everyone happy all the time.

To those who support this Forum we Thank you!
To those who claim to support us, we know where you live :D
