Hi,

Ah,yes likely this is the place and correct I am working on it.
One thing though is that technology like this tend to be not so costeffective, which also tends to delay things.

More to come quite soon

Oh and a pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again

ah, ah!
here's my special request for ya to please implement a simple, selectable shape/variable depth LFO in there --- attached to "delay time", k?
(would be great to have tap-tempo that could be attached to the *modulator*, as well!)

My master, the great Bjorn Juhl, is working on a delay pedal??

Excuse me pedal heads, I'm going back to digging ditches for a living! :D

Well, either that or I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue!

TTYL,

BJ, you are the real deal, all the rest, including myself are just humble followers!

Hi,

Thank you for the good words

Well, there's just one thing I'd like to do with a delay and that's something that would make my tape delays nice furniture. That's mostly the texture, desired bandwidth and distortionlevels and things that may make a delay
easier to work with as ambience.

"ah, ah!

dt"

How would you use shape variable delaytime control?

Slow, sine variation on delaytime may make delay signal come alive.
What you ask is something I think Jon Cusack might make and also something that the Memory Lane does.
There are digital delays that does this though they may have a latency that I personally find less becoming, while there certainly are ways of making this with digital techniques without latency......

More as it approaches

Hi,

Thank you for your interest and most welcome Jono L to this forum.
It's a bit still, one thing I can say though is that it's more about the texture of
echo and its repeats than features, more to make echo an integral part of sound than an effect.

More before to long

Thanks for the warm welcome BJ and friends. No doubt in my mind that this will be one of my "soon" purchases. Keep us posted!

Speaking of "soon" purchases... BJ, dean should have fowarded my EGDM order to you by now. :) I'm the young clown from new zealand who wanted you to paint a sheep on it, and rename it the "kiwi green sheep-shearing machine".

I can't wait. :D

Hi Jono L

Most pleased to meet you and I will post about the delay.

Yes in fact Dean did inform me, everything goes through proper channels though
while Dean always tells me and asks when and what to keep all his customers ajour.
By proper channels I mean that everything I make goes first to Finland where they have lists of all orders and addresses- I see only the composite orders per model, except for what Dean tells me

There are more green things coming so hopefully soon

Take care

I wasn't trying to usurp the line or anything. I'm more than happy to wait my turn for this one, by all accounts it seems to be worth the wait. :)

Was just trying to put a name to a face... or... pedal, in this case. :o

Hooray for green things!

Hey guy's!!

Bjorn,

Will the pedal have tap tempo??? Unfortunatly this is a must for me. That forces me to use the Line 6 stuff...

Are we talking Digital or Analog??

Analog, I presume? (please!)

I am ready to stand in the appropriate line through the appropriate channel for a BJF delay.

Hey Bjorn,

Any more tid bits of info on your delay?!

Hi,

Well the first of this will be an MP pedal, and the prototype of this was shown at the Stockholm Guitar& Drum show.
It has come to a point where I have too many models and too little time to further expand,so a factory is being set up in Finland, where beautiful finnish girls ( hehehe) will assemble some models. These pedals will be designed by me and I see that as an oppurtunity to design things with my own ideas of sound and yet not have to do everything by hand and it's also a challange to design things that can be mass produced.
BJF line stands as it does and I'll be making most models except LGW that can be assembled without trimming.
I have had some serious discussions about this and I'd really like to have very good quality on mechanical parts for durability and MP pedals have agreed to work according to such standards- no plastic junk.

The prime object with the Delay was to make a digital delay that sounds and feels like a tape echo- a sound that doesn't get in the way of playing but that can create ambience and sonic landscapes.
To be able to make this in large quantaties a modern chip is used, which means price may be reasonable too

It's a two speed arrangement so you can play hip hop by setting the repeats on maximum and stomp between slow and fast speeds.......

This model is predicted to be out before the end of this year if all goes as it can.

Later on there may be an extremly short run of analog delays, but that's a back burner that comes when it comes.

Have fun
BJ

Is there any way to get one with tap tempo??? Man, delay's are nearly useless to me unless they have this?

Love the DRD "Aaron"!!!

Hey Bjorn,

Tap tempo and modulation of the repeats would be great! I would especially be interested in modulation.

I'm definitely planning on getting both the MP Digital Delay and the BJF Analog Delay.

What features are you planning for both?

Thanks & I look forward to seeing more of your inspired creations!!

Hi,

Thanks, Matts Tone,
Yes I hope it shall be possible tobring part of the new line out this year, while all machines in the factory must also work so to speak. I also like to see this as an oppurtuntity and just today talked with Mad Professor Amplification on what more could be produced and I'd draw the line at what can be made in large quantaties and what would really benefit from factory assembly such as more elaborate circuits that take more time to make by hand than would be of interest.

Thank you for your kind words and interest
BJ

Man, I really cant wait to get my hands on this delay. Im wondering if I should get the MP digital delay, or wait for the analog to come out...

If this delay comes close to a tape-echo I might sell my beloved DM2 and buy one. I've got a TTE but I just don't want to take it to the wilder places.

markom89
11-25-2006, 11:53 PM
Thats also what my problem is with the TTE...I LOVE it to death though for studio and at home/practice use!!! Im for sure getting one of the BJF/MP delays when they come out!!! For gigs Ive been using either the Memory Lane or Quicksilver alot lately. I REALLY am loving the Quicksilve especially! Im also waiting on that echolution when it comes out, but, IM thinking whether to wait on the MP delay or get the echolution...
